Support Orange County Youth in their Learning Journey!
As economic challenges escalate, many low-income families and youth in Southern California are facing increased difficulties in affording essential school supplies and backpacks. Poverty rates in the region are on the rise, driven by rising costs of everyday goods. Compounding this situation is a distressing trend revealed by recent US Census reports: childhood poverty in the United States has doubled, indicating a growing need for community support and intervention.
In 2024, families with school-aged children spent nearly $900 on back-to-school items, marking a substantial increase due to inflation. As the cost of backpacks and school supplies continues to rise, so too does the need in our community. This year, we’ve had to increase donation levels to keep pace with inflation and ensure every child receives the essential tools they need to succeed.
Our 2025 Goal: Equip 2,500 Students with Backpacks Filled with Supplies!
How to Get Involved
Register to Receive a Backpack
Backpacks for Success offers a new backpack full of school supplies such as pencils, glue sticks, paper, erasers, and more to local students to ensure they are prepared for the first day of school. Registration is required for all students.
