Who We Are

For over 40 years the Community Action Partnership of Orange County has worked towards enhancing the quality of life in Orange County by eliminating and preventing the causes and effects of poverty.

We have remained true to our mission “to enhance the quality of life within Orange County by eliminating and preventing the causes and effects of poverty by mobilizing and directing resources to programs that assist, educate, and promote self sufficiency.” The men and women of Community Action Partnership of Orange County are committed to serving the communities where they work and live. They come from all walks of life rallying to support those in need, ending poverty and building stronger communities. Our agency is celebrating 40 years of caring, upholding the values of human dignity and the integrity of compassion.

The Partnership brings together both private and public resources to solve community problems and improve communities by bringing hope and services to the poor. The Partnership provides a variety of emergency services and capacity building programs that enable the poor to meet basic needs and develop the knowledge and skills to move out of poverty. The Partnership believes that poverty in all its forms and manifestations is degrading to the individual and represents a clear threat to the continued health and prosperity of our nation.

Today, we are proud of our staff of over 100 employees and a budget of over $15 million dollars that helps people and change lives. Each year we serve over 950,000 people at or below the federal poverty level.
